Q: I’m having trouble logging into my WIM profile. What do I do?

Incorrect username: You may be having trouble signing into your WIM profile because the email you are using may not be the email address that is associated with your WIM account. Try using alternate email addresses you may have used to register for Women in Music.

Incorrect password: You can request to reset your password here: http://www.womeninmusic.wildapricot.org/Sys/ResetPasswordRequest

Q: How do I change my email address associated with my account? 

To change the email address associated with your profile: 

  1. Login to your WIM profile via www.womeninmusic.wildapricot.org

  2. Click on your name on the top right corner and select “View Profile”

  3. Click on “Edit Profile” and enter in your new email address.

If you cannot access your WIM profile, please email Membership@womeninmusic.org. You must provide us with your current username/email address as well as the email address you want to switch to. You may be asked to verify other information before the change occurs.

To change the email address used to receive communications from WIM’s Google Group, please email Membership@womeninmusic.org.

Q: Can I reduce the frequency or leave the WIM Google Group completely?

You can change the frequency of emails you receive or to leave the group completely, you will need to login to Google Groups (https://groups.google.com). Click on “My Groups.” You will see a drop down box next to “WIMmembers.” Here, you can opt into four settings for WIM’s Google Group:

  1. Don’t Send Email Updates - you will not receive email directly, but can login to the WIM Google Group to view posts.

  2. Send Daily Summaries - you will receive a daily summary of posts directly via email.

  3. Combined Updates - you will receive a summary of up to 25 posts directly via email.

  4. Every New Message - you will receive every new post via email immediately.

To leave the group entirely: 

  1. Click on “My Groups”

  2. Locate “WIMmembers”

  3. Select “Leave This Group” 

Q: How do I change my Google Group settings if I do not have a Google account?

In order to access the Google Group forum and post you will need to create a Google account. Note, you do not have to sign up for Gmail in order to create a Google account - you can use your existing non-Google email address. To create a new Google account, click here: https://accounts.google.com/signupwithoutgmail .

Q: Why was I charged twice for my renewal and how do I obtain a refund? 

There are several reasons why you could have been charged twice for your membership:

  1. You have multiple email addresses that are linked to your Women in Music account: If you have more than one email address that is registered with Women in Music, each account may have been charged once. You can disassociate extra accounts by contacting us as membership@womeninmusic.org to assist you.

  2. You have setup automatic payments to WIM in your Paypal account AND you have also paid the membership renewal invoice you received from WIM directly: You should cancel your automatic payments in Paypal and only renew via the invoice you received from WIM.

You should always renew your Women in Music account by following the instructions in the renewal email you received from us to ensure that your payment is recorded properly.

Q: How do I cancel my membership?

We are sad to see you go! Please send a cancellation request to membership@womeninmusic.org.  We would love to hear your feedback on the main reason(s) you are canceling and what you think WIM can do to better serve our members.

Q: How can I see all of WIM’s upcoming events? 

For upcoming and past events, please visit www.womeninmusic.org/events and follow us on social media for all the latest news and updates.
You can also subscribe to our newsletter by going to womeninmusic.org and signing up on the landing page.

Q: How can I renew my WIM membership? 

When your renewal is due, you will receive a renewal email which will include an invoice. You can follow the directions in that email, or you can follow the steps below:

  • Log in to your WIM Profile

  • Click on view your profile

  • Click the renew button located under your renewal due date

  • Click on Update and next 

  • You will be taken to your invoices and payments page where you can enter your info and pay your invoice.

Q: How can I benefit from my WIM membership?

WIM offers its members lots opportunities to learn and network from each other. Membership benefits include:

    • Educational seminars, panels and workshops with top-notch professionals

    • Up close and personal evenings with acclaimed performers, producers and other industry professionals

Q: How will I benefit from joining WIM if my city does not have a local WIM chapter?

Women in Music is a digital community and hub where you can interact with fellow members worldwide, not just the members that are in a specific chapter. If you do not have a local chapter of WIM, you can still participate and enjoy member benefits such as:

  • Digital streaming of educational events. 

  • Exclusive digital events, such as Q&A’s with leading industry experts.

  • Access to an informational hub containing educational posts about various aspects of the music industry from leading experts.

Q: Is there a membership discount for students? 

Yes, WIM offers discounts on membership to students. To obtain the student discount rate: 

  1. Join Women in Music and select “Student Membership” as your membership level

  2. Complete the application process

  3. Email a valid student ID to : membership@womeninmusic.org with "Student ID" in the subject line

Q: How do I access and post to the WIM Google Group forum? 

You can post to the WIM Google Group in two ways:

To post from the email address you have registered with WIM, email “wimmembers@googlegroups.com.” Be sure to use an appropriate subject line and write your post into the body of the email. 

To access the WIM Google Group Forum on the Google Group platform, please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to Google Groups 

  2. Click on “My Groups’

  3. Select WIMmembers

  4. Click on “New Topic” to post

Q: I'm an artist/creative, and I'd like to submit my latest release/news to the WIM Community News - how do I do that? (Info on member policies, etc.)

All Posts relating to housing, new music/video releases, and general notices about events/performances should be sent to the following WIM email addresses (below). These posts will be included in a weekly email digest that will be sent to the entire WIM Community  on Mondays.

I will make sure your message is posted this Monday in the WIM Community New; however, for future posts please follow the instructions below.

i.   Housing@womeninmusic.org - posts about requests for housing and available housing. To ensure that your post is delivered, please follow this example format when submitting your post:

  • An event photo (can be a logo, poster, headshot, etc.)

  • Title of the post

  • A very brief description (2-3 short sentences ONLY) 

  • 1 contact or more information link (website link, email address, etc)

ii.  NewReleases@womeninmusic.org - posts about new music/video releases. To ensure that your post is delivered, please follow this format when submitting your post:

  • An event photo (can be a logo, poster, headshot, etc.)

  • Title of the post

  • A very brief description (2-3 short sentences ONLY) 

  • 1 contact or more information link (website link, email address, etc)

iii. MemberEvents@womeninmusic.org - posts about upcoming performances and events. To ensure that your post is delivered, please follow this format when submitting your post:
