Women in Music Presents “Composing Your Way,” A Conversation on Music for TV, Film, and Commercials

Non-profit organization Women in Music will host a panel discussion with female professionals on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at The Cutting Room in New York.

New York, NY, March 29, 2016 – Non-profit organization Women in Music will host “Composing Your Way,” a panel discussion and live concert event on Saturday, April 16, 11: 30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Cutting Room in New York City. The event will feature who compose for and place music in TV, film and commercials.

In partnership with the Society of Composers and Lyricists, and New York Women in Film and Television, the program includes brunch with complimentary coffee and a Bloody Mary and concludes with a performance from Jenny Bruce & Julia Weldon. Featured speakers are:

• Sofia Hultquist, Composer
• Julia Weldon, Songwriter & Actress
• Jenny Bruce, Songwriter & Composer
• Ricki Askin, Music Supervisor, VICE Media
• Missy Cohen, Music Editor

Tickets are $40 for general admission and $50 for VIP access which reserves premium seating in the front two rows. Members of Women in Music,  the Society of Composers & Lyricists, New York Women in Film and TV will receive a discount code for $35 tickets.
