Shamita Carriman
SHAMITA CARRIMAN ESQ is an entertainment attorney that is admitted to the New York Bar who began her relationship with music as a classical pianist for over ten years prior to attending law school. Since graduating from law school, she has had the opportunity to work with veteran entertainment attorneys Steve Gordon Esq. (author of the book "The Future of the Music Business: How to Succeed With the New Digital Technologies"), and Robert A. Celestin Esq. (former VP and General Manager of Uptown Records & Untouchables Entertainment Inc.).
She currently provides counsel for artists, managers and labels on entertainment business and legal affairs in addition to providing general legal counsel for WIM. In her spare time, she loves discovering new and progressive music; contributing articles on music and music law to several blogs; and occasionally dabbles with photography.
